Lock 'n' Chase to JAMMA Adapter

Lock ‘n’ Chase was developed by Data East and released in arcades in Japan in 1981. In North America the game was licensed for distribution by Taito. It features game play which was likely inspired by the similar games of that period, for example Pacman and Mouse Trap, where you clear the maze by eating dots and have the ability to control gates which prevent the enemy from catching you.

Lock ‘n’ Chase was released at least a year or two before games from the DECO Cassette library like Burger Time and Bump ‘n’ Jump started to appear as dedicated ROM boards. While those later Data East games have a more standardized pinout, the pinout for Lock ‘n’ Chase is unfortunately unique.

This game uses a difficult to source power plug / connector. This adapter comes with an substitute that consists of 3 separate plugs that can be used on this connector.  Care must be taken however to ensure that the connection is made correctly and it the right order.
